Chicken Necks
Chicken Necks are the elongated cervical sections removed from dressed poultry after the head is separated. They comprise a chain of small neck vertebrae with attached muscle, skin and connective tissue, making them useful in stock, broth, soup and selected slow-cooked poultry dishes. Necks are bone-in products and are distinct from boneless neck meat or isolated neck skin.

Quality Details
A buyer should specify neck length, skin-on or skinless presentation and whether excess fat and throat tissue are removed. Uniform trimming at the shoulder end, clean separation from the head and freedom from feathers, contamination and extraneous tissue contribute to good commercial presentation. The amount of retained meat varies with processing.
Wholesale Handling
Frozen chicken necks can be delivered in lined cases or inner bags packed to the required net weight. Their narrow, irregular shape is generally better managed with weight-based packing than exact piece calibration. Labels should state whether the necks are skin-on and the lot's processing origin.
